BOURNE SOCIETY PLAQUE AT THE “ROSE AND CROWN”, RIDDLESDOWN

The unveiling was performed before a gathering of Council and other Bourne Society members, together with Mr Colin Campbell of Ind Coope breweries. Short speeches were made on behalf of the Society and the Brewery regarding the plaque, which now stands proud for all to see on the front-facing wall at the entrance to the “Rose & Crown”, Riddlesdown. A brief commemorative history was given to the Landlord, who framed it and hung it on the wall in the Lounge Bar, together with enlargements of photographs of the “Rose & Crown” as it appeared in former incarnations.
