Plaque 33 – Red Lion Inn, Coulsdon

Unveiled Friday, 21st February 2020

The plaque is situated on the brick wall of the Aldi supermarket at 159 Brighton Road, Coulsdon, and was unveiled by the store’s manager Elod Medgyesi. The event was followed by a reception at the Comrades Club with speeches from Roger Packham and Charles King, chairman of the East Coulsdon Residents Association (ECRA). A photo display had been set up at the Comrades Club the day before. The display was removed to Coulsdon Library where it remained until 8th March 2020.
